Just a quick update following a device change.....

I now use a TT710 with application 6.525 (7714/070417) which works with Western Europe map version 675.1409 and Western Europe map version 660.1219, and also Canary Islands map version 660.1219.

The Classic can use the latest Software and use the latest Maps.

There is no problem.

The matrix has no crosses against the PND versions so it's not a definite 'won't work'.

I think the reason for the lack of information concerning 675 Maps on the Matrix, is that no-one has bothered to report the fact that it does work. Smile

You should be able to use ANY TomTom map on your 720.

I called TomTom and they said that the 720 can only use maps 7.x upwards. It is not backwards compatible with 6x maps? Is that right?

The truth could be that either they are really NOT compatible and simply won't work, or they will work, but not with some of the 720 features, such as Mapshare. I'm guessing you'd not be too willing to pay for a download to prove what they say is correct and the map doesn't work!!
