Hi guys, I am hoping for some help to try & finish installing my TomTom 6 on my Medion MDPPC 150 (micromaxx). Managed to do the fundemental things so far but really stuck with trying to know where the following folders should go:

1) The voices folder
2) The zip (postal codes) folder

They are currently on my SD Card but I don't seem to have any running on the device. I've been through different posts here but couldn't find a clear answer. Thanks in advance for any help.

does the ppc150 run pocket pc 2003 or ppc 2002 if its the later tt6 won't run other wise it should just install and run in insetion of the tomtom sd card or is from cd then the files should just install to the correct place

Thanx alix. it is pocket PC 2003 but as I said in my post the voices and full postcodes do not seem t work at all. I have changed the location of the folders mentioned to the root directory of the PPC but still no joy.

there is a new postcode d/load on tomtom site in which once d/l to pc you can then transfer via active sync also nyou may be dissappointed if you get it running it might be very slow.i have found that tt6 does not like anything under a 400mhz processor and yours is 300

Right in an answer to one of my questions I have managed to get the voices to work by puting all the contents of the voices folder on the SD card into the voices folder inside the navigator folder of the Program Files. Still struggling with the British postcodes however. Now I have the "zip folder" on the SD Card with the updated UK postcodes from TomTom but don't know what to do with it.

if you haven't got it sussed yet, i think that you have to drop the "ZIP" folder from the sd card into the "navigator" folder in the "programs" (?) folder on the device. (don't forget to back-up first, though!!)

Does it need the empty TomTom Folder in the Root of the SD Card to get it working?

I thought it went out with V5, but perhaps it's still needed. Confused
