I am trying to add the speed camera database to an old TomTom version 2. I have used the tomtom go version of the ov2 file and installed it in th efolder with the maps. It has found it as a POI but i dont know how to get an audible warning to sound when the camera's approach. I have posted the sepeed camera symbol in the same folder, but dont know how to make sure that it uses that symbol.
Can you help.
Regards,

Hi freshfields,
to the forum!
As long as you have placed the .OV2 file and its corresponding .BMP file into the map folder for every category or sub-category of the PocketGPSWorld camera database, that you wish to use, then you will have the relevant icon appear on the screen.
For TomTom Navigator 2, you will need an additional piece of software that is a POI Detector. The best one to go for is CheckPOInt, which can be downloaded from here.
Your maps for TomTom Navigator 2 will be quite out of date, if your PocketPC is capable then I recommend that you buy TomTom Navigator 5 or wait a little longer and buy TomTom Navigator 6.

In other words, so long as the .ov2 file and the .bmp file have exactly the same name before the 'dot' then the icon should show up. |

Robert
I have downloaded the file and think that it has gone onto the pocket PC. How do I check that and set it up for use from there.
Thanks
