Hi

When the traffic situation worsens, eg a new queue of traffic ahead, my tomtom 300 used to go bong-bong-bong. A nice sound and a useful alert. I'm pretty sure my tt500 used to do this too.

However my 500 doesn't do the bongx3 when traffic worsens any longer (although obiously it shows a symbol on the vertical right hand incident display bar). I added Ray's data.chk file for spoken speedcamera alerts a while ago, is that the reason my bongs have gone? Or is it some combination of settings in the traffic submenu?

Anyone else lost their bongs, and found them, or know where they went to?

Cheers!

Martin

Hi Martin,

I think you will find that you will have lost your bongs because you have the data.chk file from rays site.

I also use rays warnings for the speed cameras and when i get new traffic information i get either the "red Light Camera ahead" or "mobile Camera Ahead" warning, can't remember which.

As far as i know there is no way of changing this through any kind of setting change. Only solution would be to go back to the original data.chk file.

You could use the POIExtend application from Rays site to create your own data.chk file leave the bong bong noise in the same place then edit the other 29 slots for the spoken alerts, I think the traffic alert does come through as a "Warning red light" when using the stock pre-built data.chk files.
Its a bit of messing around but will give the set-up you require, make sure you get the correct application relative to your version, the app is now working with version 6,15 - Mike
