You can preplan journeys using Itinerary planning on Main Menu 3. Plan your stops and save the itinerary. You can select waypoints using the map, POI, address, etc.. There is a guided tour to make it easy, too.

Indeed. simply switch to the US map (in Preferences) then use the Itinerary function to create routes or just use the A-B option to evaluate routes and journey times etc.

You can also browse the Florida map and save POI's (create a new US POI Group for ease) which can be called up in seconds when on your hols.

I have all the theme parks etc already set up in my favourites.
Just by changing the maps over you can enter them all.
I go to all the websites of the places I am visiting and get the zip codes then add them to my favourites.
Saves loads of time when I arrive.

I used the South-Eastern USA maps whilst in Florida recently and was pretty impressed. The Disney theme parks service roads and so on are on the maps so you can pretty much navigate straight to the parking lot.

I found it took the stress of how to get somewhere off me driving so I could concentrate on driving on the right hand side of the road.

We go in 5 weeks so really looking forward to using it out there this time.
Although we know our way round pretty well, as David says, it takes out all the stress.

We've just used our TT910 to navigate around California for 3 weeks. We started off in San Diego and worked our way up to San Francisco taking in all the themeparks along the way. Before we left we setup all the hotels and parks as favourites then simply did Navigate to when leaving one area to go towards another.

On the last half of the trip we hadn't got any hotels booked what so ever so we used it again to find hotels near destination (i.e the theme park), again couldn't fault it what so ever.

We did 1038 miles in total and it only messed up once and I think that was my fault not putting the hotels address in correctly.

Be prepared to wait a while in the hire car to get a lock, ours really didn't like being taken to the US and turning on. I think we waited maybe 25mins!

I wouldn't worry, it's a law that is never enforced as confirmed by our US Editor. I've used windscreen mounted GPS in the US and California as do the residents of said state!

Precisely. We drove right next to several highway petrols and police cars who never batted an eye lid. :D
