TTN2 not accepting my address

I am unable to get TTN2 going as it will not accept my home address in order to form a favourites list etc. It will accept my hometown (Stockton on Tees), moving immediately onto the street search without any prompting, but then refuses to move on from the street search depite having my street name and first half of the post code in its database. It basically just sits there looking stupid. Pressing the OK button does nothing at all, nor does anything else. Does anyone have any solutions please?

I've found that the quickest way to put an address into Favourites is to go to Map mode, zoom in and locate the address, then press and hold the screen with your stylus.

A set of menu choices appears, one of which is "Add to favourites". In the "Name" box, type in the name you want the Favourite to be known as, or accept the default shown, and away you go.

I gave up on the address search within about half an hour of getting my 2210. Much easier to search for it on the PC in Autoroute and then do the above, but that doesn't help if you're on the road and don't know where the address is.
