Hi,
I haven't seen or used a 28xx myself but I believe they work in a similar way to the 27xx series. Try this thread for a start, which is for a 2720. Definitely don't follow any instructions to do with the 26xx though .

Yes you can, you need the Garmin - GPSR Map Overlay version of our database. _________________ Darren Griffin |

NO!!! 8O
That's the 26xx way of doing things. The 28xx is a new range and as such, supports the Garmin POILoader (I've just checked the Garmin website to confirm this).
As I posted earlier, follow the instructions in the 2720 thread

Hi,
Any idea how to install the pois (speed cameras) onto a garmin streetpilot 2620, (thats the old one)
I know that it is possible as a shop will charge me £250 to intall them for me but wont tell me how he does it.
I have tried the poi loader but doesn't detect the 2620 so i cant use it
Any ideas?
Cheers |
