Re TTN6
According to TomTom website, the list of compatible HP units is..
HP: HP iPAQ h4150, HP iPAQ h4350, HP iPAQ hw6510, HP iPAQ hw6515, HP iPAQ hw6910, HP iPAQ hw6915, HP iPAQ hx2190, HP iPAQ hx2490, HP IPAQ rx1950, HP IPAQ rz1710
Is there any reason why it shouln't run on my HP 2200
Thanks

According to Alix on this thread
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic
The minimum spec is pocket pc 2003 if you pc has this then it will run on TT6.

we see an alarming trend with TomTom that they try to enforce their (completely inadequate) compatibility list.
So technically it will work on all 2003+ devices but you may still get issues when you need their support and your device is "not on the list". Hopefully we don't have to advise you to lie about your device, and to claim to own the equivalent on the list. _________________ Lutz

Hiya Lutz,
i got the info from TT that TT6 wont install on a device thats not on the list - dont know how they will do this - maybe with TT-Home.
I guess ur under the same name in the pocketnavigation-forum, right? If thats true, then u can read this thread over there.
Two users got the info that TT6 wont install on not compatible devices - and one user saw a promotion where TT6 wont install on a non compatible advice. It just said then: Installation unsuccessfull. Device not compatible
As long as my Dell x50v is not on the list, i hope that thats not true.
Aand that it is like it was before: all the devices on the list will not be supportet by TT, but run with TT - but the better support u get anyway in the forums

Maybe but will TT activate it is it's on their "supported list".
Ive got an rx3715 which runs TT5.21 on 2003 pro, unless I can get some guarantee that I can at least activate it there's *no* way i'll give them any money even though I'd use the features of v6. |

To the best of my knowledge I dont think it makes any difference to tomtom, as long as they receive your money, you will get an upgrade? (time will tell) or you will get the full version. In either case it will come with a product code.
It wouldnt make any difference to Tom Tom whether your particular PDA is on the list or not. As far as they are concerned they have sold a unit with a product code, which will, when inputed, automatically register.

I just read another thread after replying to this one. It would appear that I am misinformed. It seems to be now that unless your PDA is on the compatability list it cant be activated. At least thats what the thread seems to say.
However, after reading the reply from Tomtom it also seems to say that "As long as you understand its not on the compatability list therefore we cant support it if there is a problem we are able to activate the software"
At least thats the way I read it. Some clarification would be nice.
Howard
