Old programs will not run. You need to check that they are new programs that will run on WinCE .Net

I'm afraid I'm not an expert on Windows versions, but I understand that the version included in the Mio will not run pre- .NET software.
But there are many free and shareware programs available to try, so it will not be difficult to experiment with different versions.

i noticed that i can't install nothing from exe files, while usually cab files install correctly.. what's the problem ?

You mostly need to run the EXE files on the PC. Once they ran (even if unsuccessful) you can then grab the CAB file and install that on the Mio.

Found Calc98 at http://www.pdagold.com/software/detail.asp?s=312 Works on the Mio and all the button sizes are configurable which means that you can fit it all in on the Mio screen.

Calc98 is an excellent program. I have used the PC version for years and it's particularly useful for converting between bases - eg Hex-Decimal. It's what I used to help in breaking the coding of the speedcams file.
