Okay appreciatte the replies guys would still like to hear from another few users off this particular software first before I go ahead, like the idea about not having to downgrade the TT unit itself, anymore info you can provide regards downgraing the player software you mention - bit confused on that bit ??!!

I have the latest TT application on my 910 and it plays the video very well through the extra add on software, what you should remember though is the device is a sat nav not a TV or media player, the odd lock up when playing movies has to be accepted - but the installation does not affect the sat nav operation in any way - Mike
