Been using my BT77 for a while with my N70 and have had no problems at all. Just sold it with my old 6630 however, so I'm looking for a new Receiver.

Don't really wanna spend more than about £50 so I guess Globalsat / Holux are out of the question, but what can anyone recommend in this price range? Anything likely to beat it or should I get another BT77 off eBay?

i've just bought a solar bt gps receiver off ebay for £35 inc postage, for use with my n70 - its fantastic! i've put it in the door pocket of my car where its out of sight from either side of the car. doesn't really get direct line of sight and normally get 8-11 satelites & charges fine off indirect sunlight.

its larger than a normal modern unit, but that doesn't matter as you rarely see it.

do a search on ebay for bluetooth solar gps (there's only one) & don't be fooled by the seller who is charging twice as much as the others for what they claim is a better product.

ps. this website has reviewed it.

I recently brought a Holux GPSlim GR-236 for £50 from Nav4all including postage. No mains power brick but you can change it from your PC or using the Car adaptor.

They are based in Europe so you have the backing of a Retailer rather than an eBay trader in Timbuktu....
