looking through the menus i see that garmin has speed camera's installed.
I also have pocket gps cameras as well. stored in custom POI's

When i get near a camera what one do you think is working? shall i unclick the garmin cameras?

i dislike the speed warning when im over a speed limit area, can that be switched off?

cheers guys

Not quite - Garmin have added support for some of their units to have Garmin Safety Camera alerts in the future - the menu option is to turn on or off those alerts.

At this stage, Garmin has not yet started providing the camera database (from Cyclops), and as it's a chargeable subscription, it won't appear on your unit unless you pay for it either!

So, right now, it's still the PGPSW database providing you with the alerts.

If you are getting overspeed warnings it will depend how you loaded the cameras. If you used Ash's or CBROM's utility - you will need to use their utility again to turn them off before uploading the files again via POI Loader. If you used POI Loader, you will need to go into manual mode and specify exactly what you want to happen to each speed camera file.

Although a little annoying sometimes (eg when the speed camera is close to a speed change, and I am yet to slow down from say 70 to 50), I can't see much harm in having my Garmin remind me of the speed limit - unless the data is wrong, and then it should be corrected...
