Hi,

I just got the navman 3450 for use with my 3800 series Ipaq. Since I've never used gps befor, I'm not if I'm doing everything right.

I've installed all of the software and even went to the navman site to fix any bugs they listed.

When I turn it on, I get the **WAITING FOR GPS** screen. If this changes(and I say if, because sometimes it never leaves that screen), it goes to the **GO TO NEAREST ROAD** screen. This is where it stays for a long time. All I ever see on the screen is a small circle with a blue triangle in it. What is this? And does it nowmally take this long to get ti going?

I was so excited to get this, now all I want is it to work Sad

Thanks,
Sean

If you are seeing the GOTO NEAREST ROAD it's because it doesn't think you are close to a road, you maybe in your garden. A lot of products do require you to be on an actual road before commencing a journey.

The 3400 sleeve and below did have problems with fixes, but the 3450 sleeve is much better and should acquire a satellite signal within a minute. The first fix may be slow if it hasn't had a fix since it's come out of the factory.

The triangle with a circle is your position on the map.
