|
|
hi, i recently purchased an i3 and loaded it up with some custom POI's, but when im navigating to one, the unit is bleeping alot to tell my about things like Bars and stuff!
Ive also downloaded the camera database from this site (which has already saved me a fine i may add) so i dont just want to turn off the proximity alerts because it will knock the speed camera warnings off as far as im aware.
Ive tried to do a manual transfer using garmins POI loader, but that didnt work!
anybody have any ideas? |

the Garmin POILoader which is available for download at the garmin site is flawed in that all poi's are treated the same as cameras with the resulting warnings.
To sort it out uninsatall the poiloader and now install the previous version from http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/POILoader_20.exe all will work as intended
All this and more is covered in previous posts but i know they may be difficult to find using the forum search facility. |

Hi,
must have just been put on dispite the 04/08/06 date.
Just used the new loader software will see how it goes if it follows the past resulting upgrades then they sorted one problem and created numerous others. |

Quote: | Changes made from version 2.3.1 to 2.3.2:
Fixed an issue where reading .gpx files with phone numbers could cause POI Loader to crash.
Fixed an issue where alerts were being created for all POIs.
Fixed an issue where certain .bmp files could cause POI Loader to crash.
Fixed an issue where a .jpg file embedded in a .mp3 file's ID3 tag would not display on the unit.
