Well I've just read this forum and I don't know if I have a special one but I bought an I3 today, the last in the shop at Comet. It comes with a card, and if I go to settings and MapSoure it says City Navigator Europe NT+ v8. so I don't know if the newer ones come with the european maps on which by the way is France, Norway, Belgium, UK and Ireland, and The Netherlands Or if mine is a mistake, or what, but I'm happy cause I'm off to France on Thursday, so may be these issues people are having with upgrading the product should be looked into further.

By the way, does anyone know if it's possible to view the space used on the microSD, it would be useful to know how much is left?

Thanks

But have you actually tried navigating to any of these countries? I think you may find that apart from France, for which you seem to get have details of the northern part, you will only have the ferry routes to those other countries.

I got the same version as you from Comet and it has the SD card and the same map verision. You can only view the space if you use an MicroSD to SD adapter and a card reader. From memory you should have about 60MB space.

Hopefully you're only going to Northern France or I hope you do have a different version to me afterall!

Ok yeah, just had a look luckily most of where I'm going is shown bouglogne-sur-mer, abbeville, caen, brest. It then goes as far down as Nantes but beyond that seems to be just the basic map, which to me is still pretty good fo the money. I haven't navigated there yet but it's street level on the northern towns, I'll run a test navigation to see if it works.

60MB seems a good amount, I think it would have been a useful option to be able to see space left on the SD card though.
