|
|
Am I missing something obvious or can I not select specific POIs to display on the map with Copilot Live v6?
The options in the Map setting for Display POIs are:
Default POIs - no idea what the defaults are....
Imported POIs - this just seems to display any 'Custom' POIs
All POIs
What I would like to display is my Custom POIs and Petrol stations & Shopping centres (from the included POIs) only. Anyone have any bright ideas?
Cheers. |

Unfortunately you have hit upon one of CoPilot's limitations.
As I see it, there are several ways around the problem, depending upon how much you want to keep the other POIs, and whether you can obtain separate lists of POIs for the information you require.
Some options are:
Only download the POIs you want to be displayed to your PPC (under options in the data download wizard)
Download all except the ones you want to be displayed, then add the ones you require as separate ov2 files; they can than be shown as Imported POIs |

Cheers for that, a little bit annoying especially when TomTom treats POIs with such flexibility.....
I think I'll just leave them all in there and just have All POIs being displayed. Do you know if it slows down Co-Pilot by having them all on screen? |

It possibly does slow the application down, but I think the issue is more that all those POIs either obscure the map, or are displayed as the multiple POI icon which doesn't give any indication as to what they are.
I don't know how proficient you are, but there are ways and means - it just involves a bit of work on the PC creating suitable sets of files to copy in as appropriate. But I agree TomTom does it better, though not in my opinion, well, but POI/camera handling could quite warrant a soapbox! |
