The camera data along the "active traffic management" portion of the M42 to the East of Birmingham is a bit of a mess. Camera speeds are shown (incorrectly in Km/H) as 80 (50 MPH) causing the squawking overspeed warning when approaching - the speed limit is variable along this section and it would have been better to have left the speeds out.

I have also noticed that the motorway exit symbol shown in cockpit mode shows an exit to the right (presumably a continental symbol), instead of to the left.

There are a few places like this where things are a bit wierd but can't you just go in and edit the cameras yourself - adjust speed, type etc?
I had a similar problem with some cameras on the M50 and I just set the direction and speed correctly and now all's fine!

Hi Ravi

I've done the same on mine -- all of my motorway routes (M65/M6/M62/M42/M40/M1) now have the cameras in the correct locations pointing in the right direction...

What's worrying me now is what happens when I next sync with the Mio camera database 8O Will all my beautifully edited cameras disappear to be replaced with the incorrect ones? Will the ones I've deleted re-appear? Will I suddenly get 2 cameras in the same location (mine and the incorrect one)?

I'm afraid to try... very afraid... Wink

That's why I've NEVER connected to the Mio camera database!
I dont want all my hard work screwed up by those guys and their dodgy database of evil!!

I too have notice the speed camera issue.

I have all of the speeds etc set in MPH, cool no worries - however if you have 'detailed' warning setup for the cameras, the details are your current speed and the speed that the camera is set to. For some reason the camera warning speed is always set to kmph - i can't find a way to change it, looks like a feature.

Hi jason77.

I wouldn't call it a feature, I'd call it a bug. Laughing
But it's not too drastic as you are still warned at the correct speed.
That'll do for me. :D

Why not do what Canada did a long time ago and realize that SI units should be used even in traffic? ;-)

I still don't understand the point of clinging on to an ancient unit when most of the rest of the world (not to mention the entire continent) has already adopted the metric system.

Though, maybe I'm a bit off topic now? :-)

iGO have recently fixed that, let's hope that Mio will also benefit from the update.
