Planning a route from A to B in nav 2

Planning a route from A to B in nav 2 seems to be a bit flaky!
when asked to input the city you get a drop downlist of all the towns (apparently) in th UK and if you pick one from the list it seems ok
But as I understand it after the first letter entered you should automatically go down the list to that letter and for each letter added it should narrow your search down.
I've just been playing around with this and it works for most letters but not all and i'm not sure if it's consistent or not either!
I just whent through the alphabet and this is what I found
F i K L M N O P S and Y didn't work e.g the list was blank?
tried it again and this time i K L N O P S was OK and H G Q R S Y wasn't!! ?

I'm sure if i tried it again i would get different results, so it seems random!
is this a known problem or is it just me?

You do sometimes have to wait a bit for the data to be computed. I suggest trying again, and leaving quite a long pause (10 seconds or so) after typing the first letter, if you haven't done so already.

I tried having a cup of coffee - took the dog for a walk - re roofed the house etc but it still didn't work! Wink

funny but it seems to change everytime i try it but once it's made up it's mind it''s not going to work it just wont.
