Turning a track to a route?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find it in search.

I have a Garmin Quest I. 90% of the time I use it on roads and that's OK, but there are times I need to use it off-road.

I have tracks which I have marked from my old eTrex and I know these are go'ers (ie. I can drive them without encountering any obstacles).

I'd can upload these to the Quest, but I can't figure out how to actually drive them - ie. where on the eTrex it would tell me to go right, left, etc. I can't find an equivalent function on the Quest.

I feel I'm being a bit dense, but am I asking the impossible?
