C510D Software upgrade

Hi all

Have been using C510D for about 6 weeks straight out of the box with camera databse and works well, including TMC!!

Looking at Garmin site for updates there was one posted as 2.40 which appears to deal with Polish/Hungarian issues so haven't bothered. Now there has appeared an additional update for Chipset, details below


GPS Chipset Type G Ver. 2.60 as of Jun 29, 2006

Changes made from version 2.50 to 2.60:

Updated WAAS almanacs.
Further improved tunnel reacquisition.

Changes made from version 2.40 to 2.50:

Improve tunnel reacquisition problem.

Changes made from version 2.30 to 2.40:

Changes to support manufacturing.

Changes made from version 2.20 to 2.30:

Improved velocity filtering.

Changes made from version 2.10 to 2.20:

Changes to support manufacturing.

I have seen nothing about 2.10 to 2.50 before, amd as these forums are full of grief following upgrades (previously I had an I3 and stuck with 2.7)
does anyone have any views/comments or experience of this upgrade as system is working well and I'm a great believer in if it ain't broke don't fix it?
