Anybody know where I can get a dashboard disk (small plastic disk which sticks to the dashboard but with a lip round it) to fit the x10 mount?

I've got the perfect cubby hole in the dash of my Mazda 6 but can't find a disk to fit under one. I've found one with a Arkon mount but don't want the complete system just the disk.

TomTom do supply one, but I think it comes as part of a kit.

You could also try looking at the "Medion Disc Mount" and see if they do one separately as I think it's also the same size.

Just out of curiosity, where on the Mazda 6 are you thinking of?
I've got the 626 and can't see anywhere except a window mount that is suitable. (Unfortunately) Thanks.

Thanks I'll try those sources.

The 6 has a pocket on the top of the dash. It's where the Factory Sat Nav fits. It can fit the x10 mount fine but not fully assembled. When I can source another TT mount I'm going to try and mod it but until then I'm happy having to assemble it each time.

Thats why I need the disc.

Obviously a different layout to mine (626, 1999).

I was thinking about putting a disc mount in the "tray above the glove box", could've just thrown a book or cloth on-top of it when not being used to hide it, (because it's no good for anything else) but it's a little bit too far away for my liking.

Good luck and thanks anyway.

Here's a link to one of Lindens discs. He does packs of 3,5 and 10 too. Usually with you within 24 hours or so.

How did you get on with the disk mounting?
I have a Mazda 6 and have been looking at ways of permanently mounting my TomTom 910 in the dashboard cubby hole.

Did you stick the disk to the carpet like liner in the dash or did you cut a hole in the liner?

I am going to rip the dashboard apart this weekend to hardwire the TomTom cables directly into the cubby hole. They look really unsightly dangling in front of the radio !!

If you are interested, there is a superb addon for the Mazda 6 radio which allows you to pipe the MP3 output from the 910 directly into the stereo. I am just toying with ordering one of these.

Best Regards

Javey - Sorry I hadn't checked back in a while.

I already had a AuxMod fitted to the Stereo for my Mazda 6 (brilliant piece of kit, well worth the money). So to that I fitted a dual 3.5 stereo jack. I've routed one cable to the map pocket and one to the cup holders.

I then cut the cable to the existing Power Socket and re-attached it with a longer lead (it's really tough to get back in otherwise) at the same time I added another two sockets. One runs behind the stereo and into the map pocket. The other power socket goes to the armrest (perfect for a phone). I took out the map pocket when I did the power drilled a small hole in the back and ran the power lead into it.

Whilst I had the map pocket removed I played around with the position of the dashboard disk and found the perfect place on nearest the driver at the back corner. In that position the TT can lay on the lip of the map pocket to stop it wobbling.

If I decide to get the IPOD cable I can hook the TT upto the AuxMod cable .

For the dashboard disk I removed the carpet cut the back corner off it then stuck it down with velco. After a while the carpet decided to ball up so I just took it out. All I have to do when parked is remove the TT stick it in the map pocket and close the top or put it in the glovebox.

I have a small metal cash box mounted in the glove box which was a laptop lock down attachment which runs around some unexpossed body work which I secure my backup mobile phone and Tomtom.

So basically I've got nothing on show when parked up. No GPS mount or power leads all are hidden.
