When road works are completed, the cameras are removed. However, they are still in the database. For example, the fixed and mobile cameras along the M180 west of its junction with the A15 are all still there in the database. A similar situation exists on the A19 west of Sunderland and no doubt in many other locations.

Without knowing the exact co-ordinates of these cameras, how can we advise pocket gps world of the removal of these cameras?

Welcome to the forum Graham
if you come across a camera location that is obviously now defunct then complete the form at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras put as much detail as you can on the form also put some comments in the text box and providing it is verified it will be removed (you may be the person that provides the verification as your camera may have been reported by another)

Keep up the good work Thumbs Up

I don't know which application is being used, but on mine (CoPilot) it is possible to get the camera number from the map.
