|
|
Hi All,
I am trying to find the two sound files for Polite 1 and Polite 2. I have tried to get them from within the data.chk files but they seem to be embedded or encrypted and I cannot get to them.
I have installed spoken sound files for all the speed cameras within TTN v5.1 but I want the above two files to use for all the remaining POI's that I have.
Anyone have any comments as to how I might get them or is it an impossible task. Even if I could get something similar from elsewhere on the net that would be good too. Anyhelp would be much appreciated,
Many Thanks,
Martin |

The sound files you are looking for will have been replaced when you loaded a different data.chk file, it is possible to build your own data.chk file using an application located HERE look at the POIExtend utility it also allows you to increase the number of warnings from 15 to 30, if you want the original ones back you will have to re-load the application, this will re-instate the normal sounds. If you want to follow this leave the inbuilt TomTom warnings in slots one to fifteen and add the new ones in slot sixteen to thirty - Mike |

Thanks for the info Mike.I think I will do the latter described in your mail about using 1 to 15 for the normal TT warning sounds. Well, I will take another look at it anyway.
However what I found when I looked at the TT original sounds in POIExtender is that the Polite 1 & 2 sounds are nowhere to be found which is why I asked if they were encrypted in the software by TT.
Anyway, worth another look, thanks,
Regards,
