i have seen that Garmin have released a new version of POI Loader

It is said to resolve the proximity issue.

Has anyone tried it out?

It does work but I have one exception where I have to use Manual mode and enter a proximity distance of 0 (zero).

Or just untick "This file contains proximity alert points".
