Although we have a Sony U70, we also have a TomTom One, which is about two months old.

Just over the past few days on the One the sound has been either distorting or cutting out entirely. After a while, it will come back, but the gaps between it failing and returning are getting longer.

I have tried changing voices to no effect. I have done a factory reset to no effect. I have made sure it's well charged to no effect.

The only change that has been made to it since purchase is the installatoin of the speed camera pois from this site.

Might the advice be now to return it as faulty to Dixons?

I've had a similar problem with the unit turning itself off initiated by a voice prompt. This appears to happen only when the unit is running off the battery rather than using the 12v plug-in. On each occasion the battery has read half full so I cant see it being a low battery issue. Confused
