Returned My Nuvi 310D (for now)

After yet another few days intermittent reception on my Nuvi 310 and GM12 TMC receiver I've reluctantly returned it to Halfords for a refund.

From the posts on this forum and a conversation with Garmin technical support I realised dodgy reception is a known problem and wasn't limited to just my particular unit.
Although I have been pretty impressed with the Nuvi itself and had thought about about hanging onto it until Garmin came up with a fix their tech support couldn't give any indication as to when or what this might be.

Amongst other things (size, good user reviews, etc) the inclusion of a TMC receiver was one the key features which made me originally go for a Nuvi 310D over the other sat navs available. And if this wasn't working properly I'd have paid a premium for something I hadn't got.
So I'm now going to wait until the issue is finally sorted and as a bonus by then the price may have also come down a few quid as well.
