Brodit, strike one :(

not a happy bunny purchased a dell axim sat nav mount from ebay, all ok there, then i needed the proclip to fit to the car.

After hearing rave reviews about Brodits proclip range, i decided to give them a whirl..

BAD NEWS from the word go....

I ordered it from Handnav, and wondered then if i had opened a can of worms...

Told the gent what car i had, Seat Toledo Mk1 97 ... and he reckoned they didnt do a clip for it... despite looking at it on screen as i spoke to him...

so i gave him the part no. and he assured me it would be with me in 3-5 days...


15 mins later handnav on the phone, can i confirm my postcode and card details.. hmm (changed card allready:))

anyway this morning it turns up,,, so i pops down to the car...

and its the right part... but there is no way on this earth it will fit its too big. ffs


so faced with a clip thats useless and an urgent need to use it, i had to modify it..


I had to cut 15mm (only a bit oversize!!) out of the middle and use the swivel mount and two strips of the excess clip on the rear as supports, and then move the clip to the opposite side of the fascia. now it fits..


So brodit, either didnt check the clip against the model of car its meant to fit, or there quality control is lacking.
