Recently downloaded some MP3 files on to my Nuvi 360 to sing along to whilst driving (as you do). No problems there.

Was looking at my JPEG files and noticed that there appears to be a number of album covers in there as well as my photos. I assume that these got downloaded at the same time that I downloaded the MP3 files, but what I can't work out is how do you delete them?

With the unit hooked up to the PC, the only files that appear in the JPEG folder are my photos - I can't the album cover pictures anywhere, which makes it rather difficult to delete them!

If you select, "Show hidden files and folders" on your PC, you should see them then.
You'll find that these album covers were created when you played music using Windows Media Player.

Unbeknown to yourself when you dragged your music "folder" over these files came with them.

I've already tried the 'view hidden folders' trick, but they just don't appear anywhere, which is why I am finding it so frustrating. The only other thing I can think to do is to delete some of the music folders to see if they are imbedded in there somewhere.

Well I finally deleted the entire MP3 folder, and that got rid of them! It would appear that they were imbedded in there somewhere, even though I couldn't actually see them (after deleting the music files, the MP3 folder appeared empty, but the album art was still showing when viewing my JPEGs). Deleting the MP3 file showed the image files being deleted, even though they didn't appear in the folder. Very strange.

Ok, the other suggestion/s were the wrong choice/s.

The one you need to "de-select" is:
"Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)

This is just below the "Show hidden files and folders) option. You will get a warning but just ignore it, it's perfectly safe.

You should then see some files similar to these ones, anything that says "AlbumArt" delete those and the picture will go away.

I forgot to say. These files are created by Windows Media Player when ever you play music on your PC.

Any picture you see when playing music, is then put on your PC, into the same folder where the music is by Media Player when getting track information.

Those were the sort of filenames that appeared when I deleted the folder. Thanks for the info - it's nice to know that I can now delete them without losing all the music!!

No, you won't lose "anything" except the pictures.
Glad to have been of help. :D
