Here's one for you. Built myself a new pc, installed the i3 drivers etc. Plug in the said i3, windows wants a software install cd. Reinstalled the drivers etc, same thing. I know, i'll try it on the Mrs' laptop (install the drivers etc on to that), same thing. mmm, i'll try it back on the old pc, no prob's at all. So now i'm getting really hacked off. Try reverting to 2.5 firmware, nope, aggggh, don't throw stuff around, it cost too much to destroy it. The only thing i can think of now is, could it be a windows update that the old pc didn't have, that the new pc and the Mrs' laptop have got, that is causing the problem? I re-downloaded the drivers, so that isn't the problem, the pc (windows), just won't accept that i have installed them. I've looked at the device manager etc, still no joy. Please help as i'm going even more insane than usual! Cheers all! Crying or Very sad

Does this happen with all USB devices? If it does I'd try device manager, look at the list of USB ports and see if there are any associated problems.

It might be an idea to run Windows update 1st then try connecting up.

Sorry this isn't more helpful.

Everything else works fine. Windows won't recognise the drivers are installed for the i3, and keeps asking for a software cd. It's the same on my pc and the Mrs' laptop. Tried all I can think of in the device manager too. Evil or Very Mad

I had a sililar problem, firstley, when connecting your i3 to your computer make sure you connect using the same usb port every time.

once connected up to the computer ... run the driver install pack for the i3 on your windows pc, then install the webupdater and any other programe/s associated with your i3

then ... switch off/restart your computer with your i3 still connected

then run webupdater it should then find your i3 and be ready to install any updates or extra language packs

If you still have problems dont hesitate to contact me via PM or email

im sure i could give further assistance

Regards
