GPS problem

I have a Tom Tom system that came with my Ipac. It all been going very well untill last week. The Ipac shows the itself looking for the GPS unit but never gets the red bars on the display, the unit flashes red while looking and this becomes red on when its finds a signal. The unit flashes red so it seems to get power. I have re-installed the software and also downloaded GPS drivers from Tom Toms web-site, but this has not solved the problem. Is the a good way to problem solve this or something to look for?

you may want to verify basic GPS functionality (leaving TomTom aside). You will find some GPS test tools on our download page. Depending on what Gps receiver you have you may even be able to check the programming of the receiver (maybe you switched it from NMEA to SIRF?
