auto zoom

I have a kna-g520 which is basicaly a streetpilot 2720 which makes use of the kenwood touchscreen and audio, an exellent unit which intergrates well, just a quicky about the autozoom though, whilst navigating in a city center which can sometimes be complex the unit zooms back out once it has told you what to do which can sometimes make it difficult to see exactly what it wants you to do and usually with me it's the wrong thing, is there a way to make the zoom speed dependant (like tom) rather than just asume you know what your doing,
