limited text to speech on 310?

Text to speech is something I'd like (especially for the wife), but I'm hesitant to pay Nuvi360/TT910 prices when I only need UK maps.

I'm trying out the Sony U50 at the moment, as part of my quest for a good satnav. I was surprised when it named the roads to turn into. Granted, it was only numbered roads - eg "turn left onto the A-3-0-8", but I think thats probably enough, as my wife really only has trouble with roundabouts etc and usually they are major routes.

I'd prefer a Nuvi or TT I think, as they have bluetooth support and speed camera support.

So my question is - does the Nuvi 310 do this limited TTS, or does it just do 'turn left in 100 yards'?
