Can somebody tell me how to alter these settings to some of the ones posting on here.

From the initial Home screen | Settings |
or from any screen:
Menu | Trip | Settings |
or
Menu | Options | Home | Settings |
then:
| Routing | Advanced | New | Give it a nane | OK | and scroll down, where you will find the settings you are after.
