How can one person be so unlucky, and stupid at the same time.
I had bought the HP rz1710 navigational complete kit including software, so i have a valid product code.
Managed to leave the PDA unit on car seat, removed craddle from windscreen, and yes PDA was stolen, side window smashed, my fault i know.
PDA was insured.
Insurance company replaced kit no problem, they sent me the HP rx1950 navigational kit, they said that the rz1710 was no longer available, bonus upgrade, i accepted. When it arrived it was the via michelin software, just could not get on with it. so deleted it, installed TomTom5 no problem.
The rx1950 has developed a fault, suppliers are stating i am responsible and have invalidated the warrenty, we are still in dispute.
Looked on e-bay found an HP rz1710 very cheap made a bid and won.
Loaded my registered version of TomTom5, now the device code is not listed on ttcode.com.
Have sent e-mail to TomTom with proof of purchase, still waiting for reply, has anybody else requested an activation code and how long does it normally take? Do you think they will make me buy another product code?
i've heard they can take a while to get back to you. call them on 0845 161 0009 and quote the reference number you should have got on the automated response from them.
