Hi All,

Looking at upgrading my SD card in my recently acquired Tom Tom One. So I can store more voices and get the most up to date version of maps etc.

Was thinking of getting a 1GB card and the cheapest seems to be this one: http://www.directfoto.co.uk/productdetails.asp?categories_ID=619&products_ID=619

Any views? Will this satisfy my requirements?

Thanks for the help and a top website with tonnes of interesting information!

Cheers,

Charlie

I bought a Kingston 1GB card from here and it's fine (but it was a lot more expensive back then......)

I bought a Kingston 133x 1 Gb SD card from picstop for approx £25. According to TT tech support, the faster read speed can be advantageous (although I don't recall anyone ever saying that their new card was 'obviously slow'....)

Doh! Sorry - I should have looked at some other posts - several people have certainly noticed apparent routing delays and other voice instruction problems which they ascribe to 'slow' cards. Apologies.... Embarassed

Thanks for your replies guys!

So the card (within my 1st posts link) is of standard speed (MSC)

This won't cause any issues... Correct? Or should I go for a faster card?

Sorry for all the questions Confused

Half the problem is (I think) that TomTom have never stated a specific speed, and what is classed as "fast" or "slow" is changing all the time (just like a 4GB hard drive used to be "really big"!)

There's a topic on the ex-MyTomTomGo forum listing good and bad SD card brands...
