Removing Installed Voices ?

Maybe this has been asked before, but is there anyway I can remove/uninstall some voices ?

I will only use English, but have a multitude of various different languages - perhaps having them all on there slow the unit down ?

I don't think there will be any great benefit unless you are short on space as the voices are stored in a folder on the Transflash card, and are only uploaded from the card into the unit one at a time i.e. when you change language and in which case the old language is only overwritten.

This of course on applies the i3's with mapping stored on the Transflash card and not internally.

It's easy to delete voices from earlier i3's, as they're stored on the TransFlash card. However, this won't speed anything up, although it will free up space - each voice takes about 1Mb.

With later i3's it isn't possible to delete voices, as they're stored in internal memory.

Ironic really, as it's these later units which can run out of memory for POIs...
