Hard wire Car power for Nuvi

Hi Guys

I'm thinking of installing a permenant power source for my Nuvi in my car.

Can I just cut of the Cigarette Plug and install with an in-line fuse. i.e. Is there any special circuitry in the power plug?

no dont dont cut the end off the plug it contains a regulator id wire a adapter plug under the dash directly from the battery just becarefull of anywiring for the cars airbag if it has one
