|
|
I have a Garmin i3, v8 Europe maps, 3.10 firmware now.
I am going to Florida in Oct, and would like to use it there. I know I can buy City Navigator North America v7 for around $140 across there, and use this to load to a spare translash card, I will get 2 unlock codes to allow the software for use with 2 units. I could also try and buy one from Ebay before I go.
I have searched through this forum, and the web, and can find no US (Florida) POI's anywhere - are they available at all?
Finally, I saw while searching that some were saying they could navigate using the North America city select software, I thought you could only navigate with City Navigator?
I don't really want to use Metroguide v4.01 (cannot find it anyway) as the maps are probably not up to date?
Thanks for any help. |

I thought you could only navigate/calculate route automatically with City Navigator or Metroguide v 4.01 - obviously I am wrong.
Or can you navigate but not get automatic route calculation?
Thnaks for the POI link |

You can navigate the the latest copy of Metroguide but you will have to load it using a free utility called img2gps.
This will allow you to navigate but without the search facility but there are ways around that too!
see http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=40185
this talks about Europe but it can be applied to the USA
Please PM if you need a link to a guide _________________ i3 2.70(went to 2.82,3.0,3.1 but downgraded) with V8 map on microSD card
Metroguide Europe V7 & V8 (routable and indexed)
Metroguide N America V6 (routable and indexed) |
