Second hand Ipaq with TT5

I just bought my friends Ipaq 3970 with TT5 when he bought a new car with it built in. I bought a 1gb SD card to put TT5 on and he kept his 512mb one, swapping the data from one to the other.

I have tried all sorts of things, including buying a second new 1Gb SD card and deleteing all the files i thought were likely, having backed it up first of course.

BUT.... it will not save my home location and always reverts to his, and when i switch on it immediately starts plotting the last route he used.

I can't clear his recent destinations and it doesn't save mine, but my itinerary will save ok.

What is going on?

Can anyone tell me where the home location is saved so i can delete it. Better yet, can anyone help me fix this frustrating little problem?

Sorry but I have just had a stroke of inspiration and sorted it.

In the file for the Map, in this case Great Britain, there is a file called great_britain_map.cfg this is the file which holds all of the settings. I deleted it. When i opened TT5 there was no home location and it saved my preference. It also cleared the troublesome route and i can now save favourites.

RESULT. Hope this helps others.
