Hi Im looking for a bit of advice. I have an acer n35 with destinator lite just now. Im looking to upgrade the software so I can use it in Spain around Costa Brava region and also the uk when I return. Which would be best and the cheapest option. Would TomTom or would I be best waiting on the destinator 6 or would anybody have other suggestions.

Not sure what the 'lite' version includes, but the Acer n35 was being sold for some time bundled with Destinator v3. This came with CDs of West Europe maps. So I tried loading a map and it asked for a licence code.

I asked Destinator support by email how to buy a licence code. Their reply was that the bundle included only a UK/Ireland licence and separate codes were not available. A couple of months back they suggested an upgrade to Destinator PN with full West European maps. So why bundle the extra maps on CD? I have no idea.

I cannot comment on what the PN software is like, but it could be your cheapest option. Advertised at around £60 plus vat or less, for instance http://www.easydevices.co.uk/pp/Software/DESTINATOR_PN_SOFTWARE_UPDATE_-_WESTERN_EUROPE.html Has anyone tried it? Or tried the 6 upgrade? I've seen it advertised but only in German at 129 euros.
