I have an O2 XDA Exec running Win Mobile 5.0 and a Solar Powered Blue Tooth GPS antenna. I am currently using Tom Tom 5.2 to navigate in the UK. I will be moving to Nepal at the end of July. Can anyone recommend a basic navigation software program that would allow me to see my position in Lat and Long or WGS 84 and enter coordinates in the same format so that I can get range and bearing from my current position. Display of digital maps is a nice to have but not essential, incidentally does anyone know of somewhere that sells digital maps of Nepal. Finally of course not costing the earth to buy would be a bonus as well.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

David

I'm interested in a similar product, only for Windows Mobile 2003 SE. I just want something that can give basic coords (preferably in more than one format, like lat/long, UTM, MGRS, etc), maybe do waypoints and projection, but I don't know what software out there does this.

Have you looked at Ozi Explorer or Vito Smartmap?

Me too! Me too!

My prehistoric, steam-powered Magellan will display Nat Grid co-ordinates to 10-letter/figure level but it does so in tiny letters which are hard to read. I need a navigator which displays the figures big and bold on a good-size screen for in-car use. Amazingly I don't seem to be able to find such a unit. I have no real use for maps and certainly don't want the unit to act as an MP3 player, phone, dishwasher, drinks mixer, hair trimmer or to incorporate any other useless function which the manufacturers are dreaming up. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please???
