Setup Problems with CheckPOInt and TT5

Hi,

lets start by saying that I've screwed up ... so i know i only have myself to blame.

i installed the latest TT5.1 and installed the latest checkpoint (i had tt3 & CP and everything worked perfectly). However i couldn't get it to update the database.

So i started playing ... :-( ... and tried to get a clean system ....

i thought i'd got CP5 fully uninstalled but now when i reinstall it i can't add my registration info. The Syncronization settings option is greyed out. But it did give me the initial disclaimer window.

Any one know how i can get a compltely clean system ?

Or anyone know a better forum to ask these questions.

Did you ever sort this out - my friend has got exactly the same problem.

After (re)installation, CheckPOInt needs to know which maps TTN is using. If you've not 'told it' then the Sync will be greyed out.

Start checkPOInt and then touch 'Navigate' this will start TT (or switch to it if it's already running).
This allows the application to set the current map TT is using.
Then go back to CheckPOInt and the sync option should be available.

If this has not fixed the problem, it could be that TTN is running, if this is the case, sync will be greyed out.

See the release notes for v5.0.2 which stats sync with TTN running has been removed to fix file locking problems.
