Hello,

Can someone advise.
I have been told the the Nokia N80 and Tom Tom 910 is not compatibe.
I am not sure if Tom Tom support are just looking at this link where it is not shown (as its not really out yet)

http://www.tomtom.com/phones/

I guess my question is, what makes a phone compatible ?
and if it is true what would be missing form the N80 ?

I believe this is just what has been tested. The N90 is shown as partly compatible, but no contact list or SMS. You could try asking the tech support people at Nokia whether the Bluetooth implementation is the same on the N80. I wouldn't want to be without the contact list myself.

I doubt if it will work 100% problem free. The Nokia N series use bluetooth version 2. I've got a N70 & a Go 500 - I can make & recieve calls using the Go, but the bluetooth does not disconnect properly (which ever way you try it) which causes an echo problem when a call is then made with the phone. Since I have reported this problem to tomtom @ 7 weeks ago they have managed to reproduce the problem, but they are unable to fix it. If you have a lok at the compatabilty list for the new x10 series you'll notice that the N70 is no longer on there - but I've got a copy of a screenshot from a 910 which shows the N70 on it.

(it did take me quite some time to find out what was causing the problem)
