TT910 Stock now showing on Maplins Store Computers

Earlier today managed to get a look on a screen in a Maplins store,

Shows 1250 TT910 for Store/Mail Order Allocation to ship from warehouse 12th May, (Was told Web Orders will go out that day, stores will get allocation of remaining stock day or 2 later)

Don't know what quantity have been preordered tho,

We may get our hands on a 910 before the review is published, I sense TomTom have put a gagging order on the PocketGPS team and they are not being allowed to publish the review.

Sice the comercialisation of the site it seems that they are too frightended to be blunt and honest about products any more!

No gagging order - after all the device was on display at CeBIT. I know you can't easily accept that but we are busy with other stuff too.

if you ring them will they tell you where on the list you are ,and will they e mail you to let you know when they are sent out?...

Don't get too excited about the Maplin availability date, I called them yesterday to try and add the TMC receiver to my order. During the conversation I asked when I would receive my 910 if they are recieved on the 12th, is there any possibility that I would receive it Saturday? It all depends on when they receive the order, if they are received PM on the 12th, they will not be booked in unit Monday or Tuesday. Then depending on the number of back orders they will then package all the orders mmmh. So its possible it may take at least a week maybe the 19th ? ? Quite possibly was the response.....

Ohh and they do not know what accessories they are receiving so I cannot order the TMC unit ?

They'll send them out when they can. I have ordered gear from them before and they've always been reliable.

It is a bit like waiting for Christmas though! Hope this device is all its cracked up to be! :D

If i had preordered i would be going mental at this stage. A lot of people have had the units over a week now and the people who have preordered and i assume pre paid are still waiting.
