A few BT questions that I would like comments on...
I have decided to upgrade to a BT GPS. I am using an h2215 with TTNav2. The plan is to install the BT on the rear parcel shelf, and connect it to the power socket in the boot. Which BT GPS will work best from this perspective, i.e. will not require me to physically press a "power on" button whenever I want to use it - having to go into the boot to do this would be a pain. Also, is the GPSv2.08 problem resolved yet - all seems to have gone quiet. Which version of the driver would people recommend I use?

Si.

Your best bet would be something like the Emtac/Socket BT GPS because it has a manual flick switch which means you could leave it on whilst away from the car, but the battery would just drain, but when you switch the ignition on, it would start powering it and charging it at the same time.

Sounds good, thanks.

How about the TT GPS version issues?

You can install the latest TTN2 v2.24 with GPS 2.08, but GPS 2.08 adds an extra program in called something like TomTom Bluetooth. This will work okay for TTN2, but will stop other GPS apps talking to the Bluetooth COM Port. A fix around this is to uninstall/remove the TomTom Bluetooth program whcih requires a soft reset. Unfortunately this program was there to alleviate the other problem seen by WM2003 users, and that's the disconnection from BT GPS's.

The disconnection from BT GPS's I see very rarely, it depends on how much RAM you have available at the time, and whether the Pocket PC is being thrashed. For some it happens a lot, for me now, perhaps once a week if I'm really unlucky.
