From Currys
...and used it so far to find my way home all of three miles.... straight out of the box.. so easy.

However

Questions

1. Have version 5.410 should I upgrade to 5.420 before I add any new POI's /speed camera datases??

2. Where would I get the best downloads for both POIS's and speedcameras
please?

3. I see there is a site where you pay £7.95 and appear to get a whole load of things (POIS speed cameras and voices) Tom Tom add ons . Is that reliable Not sure excatly what I want or need yet!!!!!

4. Is there an available POI for Golf club locations??

Many thanks

Geoff

Welcome aboard, and congrats on a good bit of kit. Enjoy.

The very first thing to do before you Upgrade, or add anything, is to do a FULL BACKUP of the SD Card. It has the only Copy of the Map you have.

If you accidently change/corrupt any thing in the Map Folder, it's a helluva job to get another Copy.;)

1. Only change 1 thing at a time and make sure it's working before changing something else. If it works make another Backup. Probably best to do the Program Upgrade first.

2. Free POI's are usually available for most things. You don't need to pay, but the choice is yours. Some members have a web link in their signature, or like me have a WWW below their posting which takes you to a related Website with POI's.

3. See above.

4. I seem to recall that a Golf POI was requested in the past, but I don't know if that was resolved. Sorry.

The limit is 39 POI Groups.

It's not necessary to go that far. It's really only necessary if you make changes to the Software/Maps, purely as a safeguard. You can always download POI's again.

Many thanks again
Out of interest what do you believe are the most popular POI's other than safety cameras?
By the way -apologies- I have found that the TT One already has Golf clubs as POI's -and I "found" the RAC Golf club in Epsom yesterday on my first proper use of the TT -I didn't know where iw as going- fantastic!
Regards
Geoff
