It's part of the V5 Maps. If you upgraded your Map after May 2005 you will have a Postcode Function already installed on the SD Card.

Thanks for the reply .
I am running App5.440 (5647/051206) OS:1008
30mb RAM ( free:7.3 mb)
GPS v1.21, Boot 3.32
Map: "Great_ Britain-Map" v390
I hoping that this is the correct updated version .
Is there something that needs to be done in the main menus to activate the full post code feature ?

It's the maps that will have the feature, not the application.
Map version v390 was an early release if my memory serves me correctly. |

You need to upgrade the Maps. It is probably worth your while waiting until TomTom issues the next raft of Maps Updates, some time in May.

I use the the classic Go with an earlier firmware than yours and V390 maps and I have full postcode search so you should be alrite.
U need the add-on 1st tho...To be honest, new maps are on the way, but Ive not run into any major issues a bit of common sense and road awarness cant prevent. (i.e being told to take a right @ no right turns that use to be right turns or new round abouts that have only 1 exit, so just go str8 anyway -  )
I thought I needed new maps but im fine....There was even a time I was looking for a road in Birmingham but was having no luck with it only to find that it actually came under 'oldbury' - So, to date, the TomTom with v390 maps is the dogs mate
