Etrex Legend Serial Connection Problem

Hi there,

When i first open up Mapsource Metroguide Europe V7 my legend will be detected straight away on COM port 1. After that initial connection the program will not find my legend anymore until i restart my pc. It then connects straight away and so the cycle continues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have anything else that uses the Com1 port?
I had this problem when I had a Palm Pilot which used the sync software on the same port. As the Palm software started automatically with the boot up it hogged the port.
