TT One - or wait for the new x10 series?

Now the wife has finally passed her test, I'd like to get her a TT - just for peace of mind if nothing else.

Looking at the existing solutions about, there's either PDA based or an all in one. I have a HP HX4700 & TT5 - far from an easy "plug and go" solution that my wife will want. So its an all in one solution then.

So, with the new x10 series around the corner (a month or so right?) I can't see an equivilent upgrade for the One like I can for the x00 series out now. Anyone know if the One is getting an upgrade?

If there's not one "immeadiately" planned, what's people opinion on the existing One, compared with the impending x10's - bearing in mind that the x10's have not been released to the mass market yet - so alot of opinion will have to be taken with a "pinch of salt".

Price also comes into this - and I can't see the new x10's weighing in at anything less than between £100-£200 more than what One sells for at the moment. As this is going to be an occasional use TT - surely this is a no brainer, and its TT One all the way right ?

Hi,

I was in the same dilema as you but decided why wait! I ended up buying the TTOne and I love it. I used to use TomTom on a PDA and prefer this version. Let me know if you would like to know more about it.

i would get the TT1 i got one today and even with my pug 307 comfort screen i get full sats all the way and even picking up 3/4 in the house which i think is great and its so easy to use that my missus has gone out driving to get used to it

she came back about 20mins ago and said it was probably the best thing i had ever bought hhmmmm 42 inch HD ready tv i wonder if that will get the same response

Agree with all of the above replies, I had a work supplied TT300 (now stolen) and bought myself the TTone and it's better in every way so far, and it fits in my pocket.
And £200 brand new on Ebay, so all in all a virtual steal.
And still makes me laugh when I get near a McDonalds and it goes "Moooo"

There's one snag with Satnav I've noticed, I'm starting to forget how to get to places. Been using maps for years so you have to take carefull notice of where you're going.
Kinda strange to forget the simple things 8O
