Hi
I have US V3 maps.
I have not used them in Florida, But in Virginia, DC, Hawaii & Texas with no problems. I have not tried them since my upgrade, but I assume as long as I don’t mix V3 & V3.5 on the same card then everything should be ok
The maps come on 3 cd’s and are either ‘State’ sized or part state. I.e. North Virginia & Virginia.
Florid map size is 37.1 MB and is one file.
Hopes this helps.
If you do find a roundabout its funny listening to the voice instructions. “At the turn circle exit right”, we had a chuckle to ourselves.
Regards

Has anyone tried the US maps avaialble from the Navman website - Florida in particular.
If so, what's the mapping of the Orlando area like, is it street level, and are there POIs for all the theme parks, shopping malls, etc?
Also, how are the US maps split - can you install them state-by-state (and how big is Florida) or are they grouped into larger files?
Thanks
Ian
Hi, i have used the florida map, you will get the map on a 128 mb card if you need to. (with loads of room to spare)
The coverage is excellent, down to the smallest detail, except, as here, new roads are not on them, by that i mean through experience of orlando, the brand new roads beside orange county convention centre etc.
All main roads, turnpike, and 90% of newish toll roads are there.
The zip codes are good and makes the navman easy to programme.
IE, Travelling from Near Sea World to Walmart 24 hr Super Store, we looked up POI's and got it right away.
I would recommend you look up addresses on the internet of the places you are likely to go to and programme before you leave. When leaving the airport I found it took about 3 - 4 mins out of the car parks to get a signal.
Restaurants, parks, you name it, are there on the POI's. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

I also meant to say that we travelled down to key west, via Miami, and drove up the west coast on return, all roads on that trip were on the maps.
except 1 Toll road around Sunrise near Miami, but that was a detour we made to shop at sawgrass mills, sunrise.
The other thing i would recommend, if you plan to travel way outside orlando, that you pick up SUNPASS box for the toll roads.
Don't forget if you like you can avoid tolls by turning on Avoid toll roads in the setings.
Hope all this helps. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

I'm afraid you would have to buy them like most people. I actually bought a Navman 510 from ebay usa, worked out 60 bucks more than the maps here.
PS this site, quite rightly disapproves of piracy, and navman quite rightly lock there software to avoid it.
Disappointing I know. :D _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

I have to admit I really love mine and can not do with out it so on entry into the USA will see if I can get one ASAP to travel around.

There are quite a few car rental companies that hire sat/nav although its about 9 dollars a day, i know for sure that Alamo and Avis do it.
Still makes it a lot cheaper that buying a unit unless your in the usa enough to justify it.
The hire units are very good and speak to you with road and street names. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.
